IFCX – Core & Modularisation update and
Call for Project Sponsorship 

buildingSMART International has reached an important milestone in the development of IFCX, with the final project plan for the IFCX - Core & Modularisation project successfully progressing through the bSI approval process.

The project will establish the IFCX Core - a minimal, modular and extensible foundation for the next generation of openBIM data exchange. Developed in coordination with ISO/CEN, the Core will provide common, domain-neutral building blocks for future IFCX modules and support more flexible, implementation-friendly and increasingly connected digital workflows.

With the project now moving into its funding and delivery stage, buildingSMART is inviting organisations to participate through project sponsorship.
